M&S Summer Charity Ball 2016

The historic Old Billingsgate fish market played host to the annual Marks and Spencer Summer Charity Ball. The event for over 700 VIP guests showcased the brand in a coordinated message to raise funds and awareness for the Breast Cancer Now.

The Colour Project was brought onboard to create a wow not seen before at the seasonal charity affair using 3D projection mapping. The brief was to highlight the Summer 2016 collections from all areas of the M&S portfolio. From food to fashion all products were to be brought to life in a concise, large scale and visually stunning way.

During the three-month development process The Colour Project worked closely with the M&S team to design a multitude of virtual environments that maximised the architecture of the venue whilst completely transforming the feel of the space. These environments housed the multiple products that were meticulously computer modelled   The extensive fashion elements were filmed on Green Screen at Black Island Studios for the Colour Project team to key and transform into the vast array of projected scenes.

The entire process was anchored in creating a well-measured balance between a dynamic and visually spectacular display, a prominent high street brand and the intricate architectural canvas of the Grade 2 listed venue.
